The GFA bedknives are manufactured from high carbon boron alloy steel and then hardened to a hardness of RC46-49 to match hardness of our spool films and original spools. They are also surface ground on the top and front edge and then straightened multiple times before being oiled to prevent rust before. All of our bedknives are precision ground on the front edge to increase longevity.
